Our Purpose and Our History

Mensans come from all walks of life. They range from age three to nearly 100 years old. They represent both sexes, all races, various professions and many beliefs. However, they share one trait -- an insatiable need to know.

Mensa has three purposes, which are outlined in its constitution:

1. To identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity.
2. To encourage research into the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence.
3. To provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members.

Actually, what we really like to do is get together, eat, drink, talk, and have fun!
